La Palma

Nature

The small island has a great variety of vegation. This is because of mountains reaching up to 2400m and greatly differing humidity in and outside a low cloud layer which constantly drifts through the rainforest zone.

Los Tilos to Fuente Cordera via Casa Del Monte

Very impressive trip through the rain forest up an old and forgotten channel worker's path. From Casa del Monte another path follows the water channel through many partially wet and narrow tunnels to Fuente Cordera. Using the unmarked worker's path to get from Los Tilos to Casa Del Monte is somewhat dangerous, officially discouraged and exhausting. I went through 5l of water during the entire trip.
